How to improve the welding efficiency of spot welding machines? First, choosing the right welding equipment is crucial. Second, proper staffing is essential, and this can be improved primarily through training employees in the following three aspects: footwork, handwork, and visual acuity.
Footwork
Goal: To enable employees to skillfully control the welding head at various speeds, moving it up and down, pausing, and applying force while operating the foot pedal.
Practice Methods:
1. Place the wire directly under the welding head and control the welding head to move it from top to bottom, stopping just below the wire without triggering the arc. Practice at the slowest speed to the fastest.
2. Practice the above method, pausing after the welding head presses down on the wire, then applying force until the welding head triggers the arc. After mastering this, repeatedly practice pressing the wire and applying force until a smooth transition is achieved.
3. Use a protruding wire end and practice pressing the protruding wire end onto the welding pad with the welding head.
Handwork
Goal: To enable employees to move and control the product with great dexterity using both hands.
Practice Methods:
1. With elbows resting on the table and palms naturally raised, quickly move the product under the soldering head by coordinating the bending of the index fingers and the swinging of the palms. Simultaneously practice quickly moving the product away. You can move quickly on the platform before it gets close to the soldering head, slowing down when it reaches the head, coordinating with alignment.
2. If you have an auxiliary stick or clamp in your right hand, pass the stick between your thumb and index finger, and between your middle and ring fingers when moving the product. When using it, quickly switch the position by using your middle finger to pass it between your thumb and index finger, and then between your index and middle fingers.
3. Depending on the size of the product, you can place your palms on the platform according to your comfort level and move the product quickly using your index fingers.
Eye Skills
Objective: Accurately determine whether the wire is correctly pressed onto the solder pad and accurately remember the soldering head's landing point.
Practice Method:
1. Observe the lowest point of the solder joint on the screen and memorize it. Move the solder joint of the product to that position and practice operating it on the platform. Keep your eyes on the screen while moving, and look at the platform again when holding the product.
2. Understand the visual difference between the front and back of the solder head. The wire should pass through the center of the bottom of the solder head. On the screen, it should appear as if the wire passes behind the solder head.
3. Slowly move your head close to the solder head and observe. Align the wire so that it passes through the center of the bottom of the solder head. After pressing the wire down with your foot, do not move. Look up at the monitor and memorize the position on the screen where the wire passes through the center of the bottom of the solder head. Remember this image and align the wire according to this pattern in the future.
